Louisville commit JaQuan Lyle announced via his Twitter account earlier this evening that he will transfer from Evansville Bosse High School and finish his prep career at Huntington Prep in Huntington, W.V.
Lyle is one of the three current commitments for Rick Pitino in the 2014 class. The 6-foot-4 combo guard is ranked as the 12th best player in the 2014 class. His commitment in June bumped Louisville’s class to No. 2 in the country.
Huntington Prep has produced some of the top college prospects in the country over the years, including Kansas freshmen phenom Andrew Wiggins and former Louisville star Gorgui Dieng. Head Coach Rob Fullford has a loaded roster once again for the 2013-14 season. Lyle is one of four top 100 players on the Huntington Prep roster.
Attending prep school is becoming a common trend for Louisville recruits. Freshmen Terry Rozier and Anton Gill both finished their prep careers at Hargrave Military Academy.
