Louisville sophomore forward Chane Behanan must sit out the Cardinals' exhibition opener against Pikeville on Nov. 1 and is banned from talking with the media this semester.
Coach Rick Pitino said Sunday that Behanan was involved in some unspecified ''incidents'' this summer and was warned that another would lead to him missing games.
The 6-foot-6 Behanan, who averaged 9.5 points and 7.5 points last season, was not available during media day interviews. He played 34 minutes for the White squad in Sunday's scrimmage, recording 13 points (including a 3-pointer), 11 rebounds and 4 blocks.
The Red squad won 85-74.
The Cardinals will play another exhibition on Nov. 7 against Bellarmine before opening the regular season four days later against Manhattan.

Louisville's team concept is such that the term ''go-to guy'' applies to just about anybody on the roster.
At least, that's the philosophy of Cardinals guards Peyton Siva and Russ Smith and center Gorgui Dieng, who are expected to lead a return to the Final Four along with forward Chane Behanan. It's reflected in last season's scoring, where Smith...
A few thoughts on University of Louisville basketball after Sunday’s intrasquad scrimmage at the KFC Yum! Center …Luke Hancock will be a rock, a steadying influence, bringing a wider variety of shots and higher accuracy than Kyle Kuric. Businesslike approach to the game, scoring a very quiet 29 points while hitting four of four from behind the three-point line.Peyton Siva went...
It was a sloppy start, but Louisville’s second of three intra-squad scrimmages ended up being a pretty competitive match-up. The red team ended prevailing 85-74 behind Luke Hancock and Kevin Ware’s big performances. Hancock led all scorers with 29 points on 7-of-13 shooting. He also added six assists and two steals. Hancock really impressed me this afternoon. He’s very crafty...

Sophomore defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin’s performance on Saturday didn’t go unnoticed. Earlier this morning, Mauldin was named the Big East defensive player of the week. He finished with a career high six tackles and two sacks on Saturday against South Florida.
Mauldin has played numerous positions since arriving at Louisville, but he seems to have found his permanent home at...
I never thought I’d see this from a Charlie Strong coached Louisville team, but this year’s offense is clearly carrying the team thus far. Louisville’s offense is converting on third down 56.04% of the time which ranks second in the country, behind only Army who is converting 56.99% of the time.
While Louisville’s offense is thriving, the Cards defense isn’t playing...
To be undefeated seven games into the season is not an easy feat. Regardless of how pretty you look when you do it, how your opponents are viewed, or what conference you are in…undefeated is undefeated. Louisville is likely to get their opponents best shot for the remainder of the season until they are knocked off, and I think that’s exactly what you got Saturday night against...
The University of Louisville survived and stayed undefeated with a 27-25 come-from-behind victory over South Florida on Saturday at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. Teddy Bridgewater hit Eli Rogers on an 11-yard touchdown pass with 1:35 left in the game for the go-ahead score.
University of Louisville football coach Charlie Strong has the Cardinals at 7-0 and one of only 11 undefeated FBS teams in the country. University of Louisville football coach Charlie Strong has the Cardinals sitting at 7-0 with a short week in front of them. A notebook of some U of L items heading into Friday’s home game against Cincinnati.
Head coach Charlie Strong and his Louisville squad improved to 7-0 on the year and more importantly 2-0 in the Big East. Strong and company have a chance to take a commanding led in conference as they host Cincinnati Friday night.
Charlie Strong, a cardboard cutout of him anyway, stirs up the tailgaters in the Green Lot of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium prior to Saturday’s Louisville-South Florida football game. The fire truck from the seventies, owned by long-time UofL fan Ron Thomas, circled the parking lot several times, bells ringing, sirens screaming, and firing up the party lovers. As the Cardinals...
