LSU freshman forward Ben Simmons had a night to remember Wednesday against North Florida University.

In the Tigers' 119-108 win, Simmons racked up 43 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, five steals and three blocks. With that stat line, Simmons became the first LSU player since Shaquille O'Neal to score 43 points and first power conference player in 20 years to post 40 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and five steals in a game. It was an unbelievable performance by the nation's top freshman.

Only Tyler Hansbrough, Michael Beasley and Jared Sullinger have posted a 40-10 stat line during that time span.

Simmons, who is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick of the 2016 NBA Draft, has quickly established himself as one of the premier college players in the nation.

The 4-3 Tigers begin SEC play in January.
