Justin ColemanBy Paul Seaver (TheArenaPulse)
The news broke on Tuesday that Marshall head coach Tom Herrion had made the decision to suspend freshman guard Justin Coleman.

The reason behind the decision: Coleman was reportedly seen texting on the Marshall bench during the team's loss to Belmont last Thursday.

The act was noted as a violation of team rules, as Coleman has been suspended indefinitely.

The 6-foot-5 freshman was a former Louisville commit, but after failing to qualify for the Cardinals, Coleman enrolled at Marshall, headlining Herrion's incoming class.

Through the team's first 12 games, Coleman is averaging 6.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. The guard did not appear in Saturday's loss to Akron.

With the program considered on-the-rise, Marshall now turns its focus to league play, beginning the conference schedule with UTEP on Wednesday night.

Marshall enters the contest having dropped back-to-back games for the second time this season. The Thundering Herd are 9-4 overall with wins over Cincinnati and Iona headlining their resume.
