Before the public unveiling of newly minted Gary Williams court before Wednesday night's matchup with Duke, Maryland held a celebratory dinner in honor of its legendary coach who retired last year.
Only Williams' former players and closest friends attended the event, but some were kind enough to share some memorable photos with the rest of us.
The photo to the right from Comcast SportsNet managing editor Joe Yasharoff is a sneak peek at the cursive-script logo that will be revealed to the masses Wednesday night. And the above shot via @EmmyTerp is a silhouette of Gary Williams' signature fist pump on the side of the Comcast Center.
A Maryland spokesman said the fist pump silhouette is only temporary and will come down after Wednesday night, which is too bad because that thing is a work of art. It's a fitting tribute to the man who led his alma mater to 14 NCAA tournament appearances, three ACC titles, two Final Fours and a national title after revitalizing a Marylan...
