Found March 24, 2013 on The Detroit Sports Site:
VCU coach Shaka Smart screamed at the refs that it was a foul. But Mitch McGary insisted after Michigan’s 78-53 NCAA Tournament win Saturday that his pick on Briante Weber was a clean play. The video evidence seems to support McGary, who set up shop at the top of the 3-point line and barely budged as Weber turned and ran headfirst into McGary’s shoulder. That vicious screen turned loose Trey Burke — the Wolverines’ point guard proceeded to drill a jumper as a dazed Weber sat on the floor. Smart then called a timeout and had to be restrained by his assistants from going after the referees. The play (pulled from YouTube, so apologies for the quality) … No foul was called on the play and Weber stayed in the game.

Five Key Plays: Michigan vs. VCU

1) Michigan isn’t bothered by ‘havoc’ in opening minutes The first few minutes of this game were going to be key for both teams. If the VCU forced Michigan into some early turnovers resulting in easy basket, the Wolverines could have found themselves with...
