From The Last Angry Fan:
With a little over 8:30 minutes left in the second half of Wednesday night’s Big 12 matchup between Baylor and Oklahoma, and the Bears trailing by 10, a precocious tyke clad in Baylor gear wandered on the court during play, causing the refs to halt the game momentarily while the kid’s dad corralled him back to his seat (on second thought, looks like an arena staffer snagged the kid). Luckily he didn’t find himself smack dab in the middle of the action because he could have been hurt, or worse, soiled his diaper during a Baylor fast break.
Great parenting there, dad whoever was supposed to be watching the kid.
Turns out the kid was part of a dunk contest at halftime. Apparently he wanted to show off his mad hops to the television viewing audience who might have missed his halftime performance. Either that or he was frustrated with the way Baylor was running their half-court offense and decided he’d show them how they do it on the preschool basketball court.
The wee lad must have had some effect on the Baylor squad because they came back from a 16-point 2nd half deficit to nearly topple Oklahoma, but the Sooners prevailed 74-71.
