Antone Christian scored 14 points and Northern Illinois held Roosevelt to just eight points in the second half to earn its first victory of the season with a 72-46 win Monday night. Tim Toler added 12 points and Abdel Nader had 11 for the Huskies (1-11). Trailing by five at the half, Northern Illinois outscored the Lakers 39-8 in the second half. Down 42-37, Christian scored the first five points of a 19-0 run that helped the Huskies take command of the game. After Christian's 3-pointer tied it, Marquavese Ford's 3-pointer gave Northern Illinois its first lead of the evening. Mark Tometich led the Lakers (4-9) with nine points.
