The poor Syracuse shooting almost poisoned the No. 2 team in the country. However, it was guard Scoop Jardine’s 15 points that gave Syracuse the 56-48 win to give the Orange their 15th Big East Conference win of the season.
Syracuse shot 35 percent from the floor but were able to hold off South Florida even though the Bulls got the game to within one point.
