Ole Miss Hosts Mississippi Valley

After games against Miami, DePaul and Penn State, each of which the Rebels had to claw their way to victory, Ole Miss gets a break of sorts when it hosts 1-7 Mississippi Valley State at Tad Smith Coliseum today at 2 p.m. At least it should be a break. This is one of those types of games where you hold your breath and hope the Rebels don't get caught sleeping. Even if they are it might not matter against Valley as the Rebels have a host of players superior to Valley's in every way. Hopefully Ole Miss uses this game as an opportunity to improve its shooting percentages and find the hot hands. Jarvis Summers, Dundrecous Nelson and Nick Williams have shown signs of improvement of late and this game gives them a chance to continue to get better. But even if the Rebels are cold from the floor they should be able to muscle their way to victory like they did early in the season against Grambling State and Louisiana-Monroe.
