CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—When you think about this, how big could the hole in North Carolina's lineup really be if somebody as skinny as John Henson could fill it?
Henson is so thin he makes Kevin Durant look like Lou Ferrigno. He is listed at 6-10, 195 pounds, but it looks like he'd need to weigh himself after a Thanksgiving feast to hit the scale half that hard.
Larry Drew II is proving to his critics that he can handle playing point guard at North Carolina.
He is every bit the small forward Carolina needs, though. Sure, it didn't look like they needed much while taking apart Michigan State, 89-82, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. It was a wonderful moment in the evolution of a Final Four contender. For it to be more, Henson must turn the promise he displayed into a greater share of playing time.
"I feel like every day I'm making strides," Henson said. "One day it's all going to come together—and it's going to be a great day."
