Looks like NIKE has gone cheap, as they wont help out with the Oregon Ducks new arena. Instead the fans are going to have to pay. The new arena that is supposed to open up in 2010 and will hold 12,500 people. Here is the best part. Currently season tickets in the lower level cost $457 plus a donation. When in the new arena, similar tickets will be priced around $1600. Now why isnt NIKE stepping in to cut costs and help out the Eugene faithful? Oh thats right, they are cheap. How good is it going to look whe NIKE U has a facility they cant fill because no one can afford the tickets.
