After losing three straight games, Temple has now won two in a row, as the Owls are now 3-3 on the season with a 87-66 victory over UAB. Temple also finished 2-1 at the Charleston Classic.
With the win, Temple finished in 5th place in the Charleston Classic which should be a confidence booster for this Owls team.
Dalton Pepper had a career-high 24 points in the win and also had 7 rebounds and 3 steals. In the final two games in the Charleston Classic, Pepper had a combined 46 points.
The game was tied at halftime but in the second half Temple played great defense and scored 48 points in the last 20 minutes to give the Owls a hard earned win to get them to .500 on the young season.
Fran Dunphy is really seeing tremendous production from his top players.
Sophomore Quenton DeCosey started to find his stroke and finished with 18 points in the win. Anthony Lee also finished with 18 points while Will Cummings finished with 17 points who has been one of the best players in the American Athletic Conference so far this season.
The Owls do not play until December 4th when they go against St. Joseph’s at The Liacouras Center.
