The common thought heading into the season for Penn State was that they would go as far as first team all-conference guard Tim Frazier would take them. We're about to find out if that statement is true because Frazier will not play another game this season after rupturing his Achilles tendon.  "Tim is a tremendous player, a great team leader and just a fantastic young man who put a ton of hard work into having a terrific senior season," Penn State coach Patrick Chambers said in a statement. "I have no doubt he will meet this challenge and will again be one of the top players in the nation." Penn Sate announced the news on Tuesday morning via a release. Penn State is currently 2-2 on the young season and will face Bucknell on Nov. 23rd as their first contest without Frazier. Frazier was averaging a team best 16.3 points per game as well as an amazing 4.5 rebounds per game for a point guard. He was also dishing out 3.8 assists per game.  Without Frazier the bulk of the scoring will now fall to D.J. Newbill, a transfer from Southern Miss, who is currently averaging 14.5 points per game. However, Newbill and Jermaine Marshall, the other double digit scorer, can't possibly pick up that slack alone. There's no doubt this is a massive blow to a team trying to build a winning culture in Pat Chambers' 2nd season at the helm of the Nittany Lions.
