Vikings Gab:
The Vikings will not only have a new QB under center on Sunday, they may just have a new feature back as well. The team is holding its collective breath, as star RB Adrian Peterson missed practice today due to a hamstring issue. "It's a concern," coach Brad Childress said. "Your legs are your legs. We'll just see how he comes out by the time we get to Sunday." He only practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday. The injury took place late in the loss to the Colts 18-15 last Sunday.
Chester Taylor will get the go at RB for the Vikings if Peterson has to sit. At 0-2, the team has already made a rash move with going with Gus Frerotte at QB over the struggling Tarvaris Jackson, who was not very good over the teams slow start.
The team is already going up against a very confident Panthers team that is 2-0, and will get star WR Steve Smith back. They cannot afford to lose on Sunday, and may have to find a way to win without their best playmaker on offense.
