If you watch enough college baskeball, you’re certain to see some hard falls and some epic collisions. These guys are first-class athletes playing at 100 mph at all times so injuries are inevitable.
In this afternoon’s Butler/Detroit game, Butler guard Ronald Nored suffered an injury that you rarely see: a broken tooth.
After diving for a loose ball in the first-half, Nored landed face first and emerged with a front tooth that literally cracked in half.
I’ve suffered my share of basketball injuries in my life, but nothing even close to this.
Damn.

Butler senior guard Ronald Nored isn't having a fun little Saturday. Just minutes into Butler's game against the University of Detroit Mercy, he did a face plant into the Hinkle Fieldhouse floor. The floor got the best of him.

The Butler Bulldogs are having a pretty average season. They’re 13-12 and 7-6 in the Horizon League after suffering a painful 65-61 loss to Detroit today. No one is likely in more pain than guard Ronald Nored, though.
