Louisville Card Game:
The next game is always the most important one.
So Rick Pitino isn’t exaggerating when he says the University of Louisville-Notre Dame basketball game is the most important in the school’s history.
Saturday’s game does have special significance, with a possible Big East title at stake, a No. 1 seeding in the conference tournament, and a high seed in the NCAA brackets.
Why doubt the coach.

In a recent interview with Jeff Goodman of CBS Sports, Rick Pitino continued to express with confidence that Louisville junior center Gorgui Dieng will enter the draft and not return for his senior season. “If he is projected as a first-rounder, he is leaving,” Pitino tells Goodman. “And I’m almost sure he’ll be taken in the first round.” Pitino also told Goodman that...

As expected, Louisville’s 2013 football schedule is well…to say it nicely…HORRIBLE! There is not one team on the schedule that is expected to be in the top 25 when the season starts.
As always the game against Kentucky will be a big game and with Kentucky’s recent success in recruiting…they may be able to give the Cards a game. But by far the best teams on the schedule...
University of Louisville big man Stephan Van Treese, who will return for a fifth season with the Cardinals next season, continues to improve as the team approaches post-season play.
Louisville’s 2013 Spring Depth Chart was released earlier today as Shawn Watson and Vance Bedford met with the media to give a brief off-season update. Immediately when perusing the chart many things stood out to me. Some were slightly surprising and some very surprising. A some additions and even some omissions. Keep in mind that at this point it appears that the only...
University of Louisville senior Mike Marra has been injured much of the past two seasons but is still a big part of the Cardinals’ program. Marra, who plays the role of student assistant this season, will be one of three players honored during Senior Day ceremonies before today’s 4 p.m. game against Notre Dame.
