Pitt vs. Georgetown: Another matinee at MSG

One down and ten to go before Jamie Dixon is cutting the nets down in Indianapolis. Number two comes today against Georgetown, a team Pitt beat back in January, back when people still believed Pitt was good with Tray Woddall in the lineup. At the time it seemed like good things were to come, but in reality that game was really the lone bright spot in Pitt’s season. The last meeting a number of Pitt players put up their best games of the season. Nassir Robinson led all scorers with 23 points and added eight rebounds. Lamar Patterson scored 18 to go with  seven assists. Woodall chipped in 10 assists and Talib Zanna 10 boards. Two names you didn’t see mentioned were Aston Gibbs and Dante Taylor. Those two combined for just 15 points and by combined I mean Gibbs had 13 and Taylor two. You would have to think Gibbs would need to be more productive for the Panthers to have a chance this time around.
