St. John's Nurideen Lindsey flirted with a triple-double last week, and on Friday night the first such statistical performance was completed, but this time by a guard from the Atlantic 10.

As part of the 2k Sports Coaches vs. Cancer Classic on Friday night, Duquesne hosted the District of Columbia, as their sophomore point guard led the way while stealing the show in many facets.

The winner of The Arena Pulse's Player of the Night (11/18):

Name: T.J. McConnell
School: Duquesne
Class: Sophomore
Position: Guard

Stat Line: 15 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, 5 steals, 1 block

A native of Pittsburgh, T.J. McConnell made the collegiate decision to remain close to home, heading to the Atlantic 10 Conference with his pledge to Duquesne.

McConnell had a terrific freshman season, and with the 2011-12 season underway, McConnell has high expectations in his second year.

While the District of Columbia gave the Dukes a stiffer game than expected, the Dukes used a 40-38 halftime advantage to eventually breakaway in the 97-81 victory.

McConnell finished the game third on the team in scoring with 15 points, but it was his other additions that helped earn him the night's top performance.

McConnell assisted on eleven baskets, while also grabbing ten rebounds. The 6-foot-1 guard was also credited with five steals.

The performance for McConnell was great, especially in helping Duquesne avoid a bad loss early in the season.

Honorable Mention: Devin Brown (Holy Cross)- 32 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists in 22-point victory over Boston College.
