This post is part of The Arena Pulse's Player of the Night feature.

Each morning throughout the 2011-12 season, The Arena Pulse will select and name its "Player of the Night" from the previous evening's action.

The top individual performance on Saturday came from the Northeast Conference, as Sacred Heart beat down on Bryant to earn their 13th win of the season.

The two teams were squaring for the second time this week, as the conference foes were oddly scheduled for back-to-back games.

On Wednesday, one Sacred Heart guard torched the Bulldogs for 30 points. On Saturday, he did it again, even surpassing the mark he made earlier in the week.

The winner of The Arena Pulse's Player of the Night (2/11):

Name: Shane Gibson
School: Sacred Heart
Class: Junior
Position: Guard

Stat Line: 34 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, 2 rebounds

Sacred Heart's Shane Gibson is among one of the top, unknown scorers in the nation.

On Saturday, Gibson led the charge for the Pioneers, finishing the contest with 34 points, his second 30+ performance of the week and third time he has eclipsed that mark in the past five games.

Gibson's 34 point outing on Saturday boosted his overall scoring average to 22.1 points per game, a statistic that currently ranks fourth in the nation.

Only Weber State's Damian Lillard, Oakland's Reggie Hamilton, and Creighton's Doug McDermott average higher numbers than Gibson.

In addition to his 34 points, the junior guard was also credited with four assists, three steals, and two rebounds in the Pioneers' 72-46 win over Bryant.

Sacred Heart (13-14, 7-7) will face one of their toughest conference opponents this upcoming Thursday, as the Pioneers travel to Brooklyn to take on LIU (18-7, 12-1). Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. (EST).
