WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. ‚ÄĒ Indiana put together its best 40-minute performance of the season on Wednesday night as the Hoosiers crushed Purdue 97-60 at Mackey Arena. The win was the fourth straight overall for Indiana and kept the Hoosiers even with Michigan on top of the Big Ten standings at 7-1.
Here‚Äôs a look at five takeaways from Wednesday‚Äôs win over the Boilermakers:
Derek Elston returned to the court for the Hoosiers on Wednesday night and saw seven minutes of action. While Elston did pick up a quick four fouls, he showed an awareness on both ends of the floor that just might prove handy in a¬†frontcourt reserve role as Indiana enter the thick of the Big Ten season and beyond starting tomorrow evening against the Wolverines.
