Charles Odum scored 18 points and Chehales Tapscott had 15 points and 16 rebounds to lead Portland State to a 67-64 victory against Idaho State on Thursday night. Renado Parker had 11 points and Nate Lozeau 10 for the Vikings (12-12, 6-6 Big Sky), who shot 1 of 14 from 3-point range but made up for it at the free-throw line, going 20 for 25. Melvin Morgan scored 18 points and Kenny McGowen 13 for the Bengals (8-16, 6-6), who shot 37 percent (20 of 54) from the floor and were outrebounded 37-30. Idaho State trailed 29-20 at the break and got no closer than seven points in the second half. Abner Moreira added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Bengals.
