It’s not easy to do power rankings early in the season. While some schools are playing cupcakes, others are playing tough competition. That combination makes it very difficult to fairly rank teams. When you throw in preseason expectations along with results and strength of opponents played, its easy to see that creating rankings this early on in the year is a very in-exact science. For example, I left Florida at #7 despite not playing up to preseason expectations thus far. Why? Well, even after a loss against Ohio State and uninspired performances against feisty Morehead State and lowly Florida Atlantic, I think the Gators are the best team in the ACC.
Hopefully now that my schedule has slowed down a bit, I can get back to giving my daily thoughts on games. If you have any questions or comments post them on this page or hit me up with them on Twitter or Facebook.
