*The Terps again will need to double down to try to contain Solomon Alabi, the 7-foot-1 center from Nigeria. Alabi, who I wrote about for tomorrow's paper, had 17 points in the teams' first meeting.
Here is Florida State assistant coach Andy Enfield on Alabi: "He's made huge improvements last year and even since the beginning of this season. He's able to spin away from the double team or shoot before the double arrives. I think down the road he's going to be a big-time scorer."
Alabi shoots 82.4 percent from the foul line -- not bad for a big man. Not bad for anybody.
*I predict a close game. This is not a particularly bold pick since Maryland and Florida State have similar records and because ACC teams are so evenly matched. The Seminoles clearly don't want to lose to the Terps twice this season. Maryland won by nine points at Comcast Center.
