Preseason Power Rankings: Duke the Easy Top Choice

1. Duke Blue Devils (0-0): The loss of Jon Scheyer is going to hurt this team more than most casual fans realize.  He had only 14% of the Blue Devils turnovers last season despite being the primary ball handler. Let’s see if Kyrie Irving can live up to his high expectations and be as effective as Scheyer was at point guard. 2. Michigan State Spartans (0-0): Tom Izzo has a knack for getting his team to the Final Four and this year his Spartans might just be the favorites to win it all.  On December 1, we will find out a lot about the Spartans and the Blue Devils when they meet in Cameron Indoor Stadium. 3. Kansas State Wildcats (0-0): Jacob Pullen might just be the nation’s best player. There are two main questions for the Wildcats in my eyes. Can they find the scoring they lost when Denis Clemente graduated and can they handle a crazy schedule that includes games against Virginia Tech, Gonzaga Duke (in the CBE Classic),and Florida? 4.
