The 180 pound point guard from St. Augustine (LA) was terrific during the July live evaluation period, in front of noted recruiting analysts and high-major coaches. The consummate point guard thrived in a team environment, and created plays for others. He also showed a nice shooting touch in nailing 3-pointers on sagging defenders.
He’ll bring his game one state to the west, as multiple reports are out that Felix verbally committed to Texas, while on an unofficial visit. Felix’s commitment immediately calls to mind D.J. Augustin, who also took his game from the Big Easy to Austin, TX, to play for the Longhorns. Felix isn’t the elite prospect that Augustin was, but should be quite serviceable from the lead guard slot.
