Fox Sports:
Ole Miss dismissed leading scorer Dundrecous Nelson from the basketball team Thursday after he was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, CBS Sports reported.
Head coach Andy Kennedy also dismissed freshman guard Jamal Jones, citing a "violation of team rules" for both dismissals.
Nelson was arrested at his home Tuesday night just hours after the University of Mississippi defeated SMU 50-48.
Nelson, a sophomore guard, has struggled in recent games but is leading the team in scoring at 11.6 points per game. Jones has played just 25 minutes this season, scoring nine points.
The Rebels (10-4) open SEC play Saturday on the road against LSU.
