The assumed “bad blood” between Louisville coach Rick Pitino and Kentucky coach John Calipari can’t be too serious – last night they were spotted taking pictures together at a restaurant in Lexington. Without going too far into the backstory, which has changed numerous times today, the bottom line is that the two coaches were eating dinner at neighboring restaurants (which are in the same building and operated by the same people) and somehow came together for a photo with a few fans. KSR Of course, once the picture hit the blogosphere, fans of both teams were predictably vocal about how they felt about it. First thought when I heard Coach Cal & Pitino had dinner together in Lex: wow Pitino is brave venturing into Lex — Ashley Schmitt (@UKgirl_ash0104) April 30, 2013 Coach Cal and Rick Pitino having dinner tonight is like Hulk Hogan leg dropping Macho Man at WCW Bash at the Beach 1996. #BBN — Kevin Jones (@HumanKevinJones) April 30, 2013 Don’t care what the story behind the Cal/Pitino photo is, I’m going to pretend they were having dinner together and making fun of Tom Crean. — B Mo (@TheBMo) April 30, 2013 Persuading Cal and Pitino to get in a picture with you, at the same time, is an impressive feat by that girl #props — Jack Hewett (@J_Hewett) April 30, 2013 [Kentucky Sports Radio]
