Boston Globe Following Louisville’s blowout win over Hartford last night, it took exactly two minutes for a reporter to ask head coach Rick Pitino about the recent Kevin Ware speeding ticket/missed court date. It was Courier-Journal columnist Tim Sullivan who lobbed the question that we all knew would eventually be asked. “I’m not going to play a player because he got a speeding ticket?” Pitino asked following Sullivan’s question about potentially not playing Kevin Ware in last night’s game. After a brief back and forth exchange between Pitino and Sullivan, the Hall-of-Fame head coach went on to explain Ware’s situation and provide more details that weren’t previously known. “He just mixed up the date. It wasn’t that he was ignoring it.
