The Louisville coaching staff has actively been recruiting Jaquan Lyle, a 6-foot-5 190-pound combo guard from Bosse High School in Evansville, IN., for nearly two years. Lyle has taken multiple unofficial visits to Louisville and is close friends with one of Pitino’s two current commitments from the 2014 class, Quentin Snider.
Lyle has the Cards in his most recently updated list along with Illinois, Indiana, Texas, Georgetown, NC State, Ohio State, Cincinnati, Tennessee and Florida. Lyle is rated as five star prospect and is considered to be one of the top ten overall players in the 2014 class.
Rick Pitino made plans to travel and see Lyle in action in February, but cancelled at the last minute after finding out that he wouldn’t play due to missing the team bus. The two will reunite on Wednesday as Rick Pitino stops by Evansville for an in home visit. Lyle Tweeted that he would have an in home visit with Rick Pitino on Wednesday and with Tennessee head coach Cuonzo Martin on Tuesday.
