After a rough defensive season, ESPN is reporting that the Raiders will fire Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan. The Jets defense floundered much of the year under Bob Sutton. Eric Mangini took over the play calling about half way through the year and the defense improved dramatically (also in part to the maturation of Darrelle Revis and David Harris). Sutton will most likely be fired and sources say that Ryan will soon take over the position. This would be a great move for the Jets as they continue to rebuild. Though Ryan did not have a lot of success this year, his players love him and he is still considered one of the better young coaching minds in the league.
