Louisville junior guard Russ Smith has been named as one of thirty finalists for the 2013 John Wooden Award. The top 30 candidates were selected by the Atlanta Tipoff Club’s Board of Selectors, which based its criteria on player performances to this point in the 2013 men’s college basketball season. In late March, the Naismith Trophy voting academy will narrow down the list to four finalists.

Louisville's Behanan throws down sick dunk
Could this dunk by Louisville Cardinals sophomore Chane Behanan go down as the best dunk of the college basketball season?Leading 21-16 with just under five minutes to go in the first half, Behanan intercepts an errant pass around midcourt, takes a couple of dribbles, and proceeds to go full speed at the rim. The only thing standing in his way is Blue Demons senior Worrel Clahar...
Pitino Says Consistency Is The Key For Wayne Blackshear
With Louisville hitting the road on Tuesday to take on DePaul, Rick Pitino held his weekly radio show on Monday evening. It was a pretty standard broadcast from Coach Pitino and the voice of the Cardinals, Paul Rogers.

Berggren named one of 30 Naismith finalists
MADISON, Wis. Four months ago, Jared Berggren didn't even make a list of one online media outlet's top 50 big men in college basketball. Considering how far below the radar he has flown, his latest accomplishment is especially noteworthy.
Berggren, Wisconsin's senior forward, has been selected as one of 30 finalists for the 2013 Naismith Award, the Atlanta Tipoff Club...
