Freshman Johnny Dee scored a career-high 26 points and led a key second-half surge to help San Diego snap a three-game losing streak with a 77-63 win over Maine on Saturday night, Dee, the Toreros' leading scorer, tied the school record with eight 3-pointers. Dee made two of his 3-pointers as San Diego scored 11 unanswered points to take a 57-43 lead with 9:41 left. San Diego (5-4) also got 17 points and nine rebounds from Chris Manresa. Maine (3-4) was led by Gerald McLemore's 23 points. The Black Bears shot just 39.3 percent from the floor. Neither team led by more than six points with Maine taking a 37-35 halftime edge. Dee started the second half with a 3-pointer, followed by a steal and layup to help San Diego take a 44-37 lead. After the Black Bears closed to 46-43, Dee started the 11-0 run with a 3-pointer.
