Kevin Foster scored 30 points to lead Santa Clara past Saint Louis 74-62 Wednesday night. Foster also had seven steals and five assists for the Broncos (2-0). He was 10 of 18 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers, and 8 for 9 from the free-throw line. Foster was coming off a 27-point performance against Simpson (Calif.) in the Broncos' opener. Marc Trasolini, who missed last season with a knee injury, had nine points and 10 rebounds for the Broncos before fouling out in the final minute. The game was part of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic. Rob Loe led Saint Louis (1-1) with 13 points. Cody Ellis had 11 points for the Billikens, who beat South Carolina-Upstate in their opener Friday night. The Billikens led in the game's first minute on Wednesday but Santa Clara led 44-31 at halftime behind Foster's 17 points.
