If you’re privy to the trials and tribulations of College Basketball, then you know that top Freshman recruit, Shabazz Muhammad, was declared ineligible to play Basketball for the University of California, Los Angeles. The NCAA sites that a financial adviser paid for two of Muhammad’s recruiting visits to Duke and North Carolina, which the Muhammad family strongly denies any case of wrongdoing. Either way, “Free Shabazz” t-shirts have been seen filling up the stands of the new Pauley Pavilion.
For all intents and purposes, Shabazz Muhammad is the prime example of the modern day “one and done” college basketball player, who’s NBA ready, but goes to school for 8 months before he can start making real money. It’s a wonder he didn’t end up at Kentucky with Coach Calipari.
