Just a couple of months ago, Louisville fans were pretty confident that they knew who would be joining the Cardinal basketball program in 2014. After two de-commitments and two added commitments things have certainly changed.
As of right now, Rick Pitino and his staff have commitments from three recruits in the 2014 class – Four star guard Shaqquan Aaron, four star forward Jaylen Johnson and four star center Chinanu Onuaku.
After the staff had decided to no longer pursue junior college guard Sam Cassell Jr., it appeared that they were done recruiting guards from the 2014 class. The focus was mostly on five star forward Trey Lyles, who has been Pitino’s top target for quite some time.
Apparently things have once again changed for Rick Pitino and his staff.
Dorian Pickens, a 6-foot-5, 200-pound, shooting guard from Phoenix AZ., announced earlier this week that he’s down to just three schools, Arizona, Oregon and Louisville.
