UD played poorly throughout the game including 3-22 shooting on three-pointers, difficulty breaking the zone defense, and a lack of scoring.The game ended with the Flyers down by 1 point. Rob Lowery took the inbounds pass and drove the length of the court where he was met with two defenders, resulting in a blocked shot to end the game. There has been a lot of criticism of the final play, including fans commenting that Brian Gregory should have called a timeout and set up a play. I understand the sentiment, but disagree for a few reasons. If you watch the replay, it looks like an end-of-game play that UD has practiced - one guy is taking the ball to the hoop with the other four players moving to put themselves in position for a pass or put back. If the ball gets to the glass or rim, UD probably wins. Lowery did the one thing that you cannot do, which is not getting...
