For the first time, senior Tyrone Garland will be able to participate in a complete season for the La Salle Explorers.
After transferring from Virginia Tech, Garland had to sit out the spring of 2011 and fall of 2012 due to compliance rules, but the transfer played in every game starting December 15th for the 2012-2013 season. He will continue to be one La Salle’s lead scorers this upcoming year.
This past season Garland averaged 13.1 points per game. He kept the offense fast and made perfect passes to Ramon Galloway for numerous alley-oops.
Although Garland put up a good three point shot when it mattered he is still has one of the lowest three point field goal percentages on the team. This is something he will have to improve upon coming into the 2013-2014 season.
