A few days ago Ohio State freshman Jared Sullinger announced he was returning to Ohio State. Sullinger would’ve likely been a top five pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. Sullinger’s decision means the Buckeyes will likely be the team to beat in 2011-2012. Although Ohio State loses David Lighty and Jon Diebler, they do return (unless they decide to leave early) junior William Buford and Aaron Craft, among others. Sullinger averaged 17.2 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per game as a freshman. Can you imagine what he might do as a sophomore? In the Buckeyes Sweet 16 loss to Kentucky, he went for 21 points and 16 rebounds. He could still decide to leave school, up until the NBA Draft deadline passes in a few weeks. If he does return, expect him to be a player of the year candidate next season. My top 25 for the upcoming season is coming soon, so stayed tuned, but expect Ohio State to be near the top.
