After having lost in the Elite Eight to Ohio State it seems that Syracuse is once again losing, this time a key member of their team from this record breaking season. Sophomore guard Dion Waiters, who was voted the Big East’s Sixth Man this year, has decided to move on and enter the NBA draft.
“I’ve decided to pursue my dream of becoming a professional basketball player by entering my name in the NBA Draft this spring,” Waiters said in a statement issued by the university. “I plan on signing with an agent.”
Waiters averaged 12.6 points, 2.6 assists & 2.3 rebounds while playing about 24 minutes for head coach Jim Boeheim as the squad ended the season with a 34-3 record, losing just once in the Big East and gaining a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament. Fine puts Syracuse house on market
Former Syracuse University assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine has put his house on the market for $549,900.
Syracuse fired Fine in November amid allegations he sexually molested two former ball boys. Federal agents searched Fine's property and removed several filing cabinets from the house after Fine was fired.
