Various reports are indicating that Syracuse center Fab Melo has been reinstated to the team.
The 7-foot sophomore has missed the past three games due to certain academic issues.
An official announcement is expected by the university on Thursday.
The reports credit two sources who said Syracuse fully expects Melo to play on Saturday afternoon when the Orange hit the road to St. John's.
During Melo's three-game suspension, the team went 2-1, dropping a Saturday afternoon contest to Notre Dame back on Jan. 21. The loss still stands as the only blemish for the Orange this season.
Melo has made vast improvements from his freshman year. The sophomore is currently averaging 7.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game this season.
Syracuse and St. John's will tip-off at noon (EST) on Saturday from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
