Found March 22, 2012 on Bearcats Blog:
With the Cincinnati-Ohio State sweet 16 showdown lingering later on today, I thought it would be a good idea to talk to someone very familiar with the Buckeyes. What a novel idea. I know. I'm a leader of blogs for a reason. Original ideas no one else ever thought of. Anyway, that brings us to the great Ohio State blog Eleven Warriors. I did a Q&A over there that will be up sometime. They retweeted my daily #BeatOSU tweet and got me hate tweets from Buckeye fans. As they say in the business, it's on now. Chris and I talk predictions, Deshaun Thomas, Jared Sullinger, if Sullinger is hurt, the Buck defense, if the game means that much to OSU fans and more. Be sure to follow them on twitter, @elevenwarriors for the OSU reaction tonight. I've spelled eleven so much it doesn't look like it's actually a word. Ohio State had a little funk in February until the the end of the regular season. They seem to be a different team after the comeback at Michigan St. Do you th...

Sullinger Shines in Buckeyes’ Win Over Bearcats

Ohio State forward Jared Sullinger, currently on a social media hiatus, showed why he is a projected lottery pick in the upcoming NBA draft as the Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Cincinnati Bearcats 81-66 on Thursday night. Sullinger scored 23 points and grabed 11 rebounds while only taking 13 shots from the floor. Sullinger was...Read the Rest...

Passing on riches paying off for Sullinger

BOSTON -- He hurt his leg. He hurt his back. He hurt his hip. His play was falling. And worst of all, Jared Sullinger's NBA value was falling. So he lost big money by deciding to come back to Ohio State this season instead of turning pro. It all built up, and he started snipping at officials, blaming them. This has been a tough year for Sullinger. So why does he seem satisfied...

No. 7 Ohio St. 81, Cincinnati 66

Jared Sullinger and the Ohio State Buckeyes had blown a 12-point lead and fallen behind Cincinnati in the second half of the East Regional semifinals. It was time for the ''cool guys'' to take a seat, and let the blue-collar team take over. Sullinger scored 23 points with 11 rebounds and Ohio State turned back Cincinnati's last charge with a 17-1 run to beat...

NCAA Sweet 16 East Regional Preview

The East Regional in Boston features the region's top two seeds in Syracuse and Ohio State, teams that spent all season at or near the top of the national polls and teams with the headline talent to eventually cut down the nets in New Orleans. Now that we've reached the Sweet 16, the East Regional is also probably the most balanced of the four and maybe the most intriguing...

Buckeyes Regroup, Craft and Sullinger Send Bucks to Elite 8

You wouldn’t know it by the halftime score or the final score, but the Buckeyes were fighting for their tournament lives for most of the second half. The Cincinnati Bearcats got hot shooting the basketball, and the Buckeyes relaxed with a big lead, turned the ball over repeatedly, and went offensively silent all at the same time, allowing UC to use a 27-8 run to give them a 4-point...

Late game in the east: Ohio State vs Cincinnati

How they got here: Ohio State (29-7), as expected, beat Loyola (MD) easily, and then let Gonzaga hang around but were never really threatened. Cincinnati (26-10) nearly allowed Texas to comeback from a monumental deficit, and then the Bearcats beat Florida State in the final minute of a very physical game. Three things Cincinnati fans should know about Ohio State: Not a...

Box Score: (2) Ohio State 81, (6) Cincinnati 66

Despite the final score, the Buckeyes got a real scare tonight. Ohio State used a 20-point first-half effort from Deshaun Thomas to build a 12-point halftime lead. UC came firing out of the second half gate and took a 4-point lead just before the midway point of the second half. It took a burst of Aaron Craft’s defense (6 steals) and Jared Sullinger’s offense (23 points, 13 in...
