Is the AD (Greenspan) gone? Seriously people, who in the heck gives a proven cheater a clause in his contract that prevents him from being fired. So that when he cheats again, you can't fire him, but you have to BUY him out, or else he'll sue you? Like I said yesterday, its a great contract if you can get it. Oh, and how they tried to cover this up.
By the way, if I were Kelvin Sampson, when I appeared before the NCAA Infractions Committee, in my defense (using the Belicheat defense), I would say, "I wasn't recruiting those kids. I was just assuring those kids that I, as the head coach, was interested in them and then letting them know that the assistants would be handling the recruiting from here on out. I wasn't aware that ANY talking was a violation. I only thought extensive recruiting talk was a violation." See if it goes over any better.
