On Tuesday, Dayton finished their non-conference schedule with an 11-3 record. Overall, we aren’t in an awful position, but the lack of quality wins so far leaves us with work to be done in the Atlantic 10. All three of our losses are to teams in the Top 15 RPI, which is the good news. Unlike the last two years, we lack a signature win in the non-conference schedule – but Georgia Tech (#67 RPI) and Old Dominion (#41 RPI) are close. One of the concerns raised by many UD fans entering this season was the poor scheduling; it turns out that we had the necessary games to make a splash in non-conference play. Ray will spend some time analyzing our conference schedule in detail, but it’s worth taking a look at our players and team statistics to date.
