Inside the Hall:

This season has been a series of tests for the Hoosiers.
An upset of No. 1 Kentucky had people intrigued. But doubts lingered. Could they win on the road in the Big Ten? Could they win in the Big Ten? Wins against No. 2 Ohio State and No. 5 Michigan State followed. So did a respectable road record. The Hoosiers answered those bells.
And so here they stood at the Tournament’s door, ready to enter for the first time in four years in this season of rebirth, and people paid to comment on this game and those filling out brackets were picking against the Hoosiers. “Their guards aren’t athletic enough.” ”The Hoosiers still concern me away from Assembly Hall.” ”They don’t do well out West, either.” ”New Mexico State rebounds well and gets to the line a lot.”
When you come from the depths, sometimes you need to do a lot to prove yourself.
But tonight was another test passed, another resounding chorus to basketball fans far and wide in this countr

Thoughts on a 63-61 win against VCU:
Caught your breath yet?
What a finish. What a win. What survival.
Things did not look good in the second half for the Hoosiers. VCU’s half-court trapping was eating them alive. The Rams’ bigs would hedge high off of ball screens and Jordan Hulls (five turnovers) couldn’t handle it. Indiana posted a season-high 22 turnovers (34.2 TO%) in...

Honestly Facebook stalking is lowkey creepy, but everybody does it. Having said that all these college basketball players have Facebooks, some of their settings are not on private, and anybody can see their profile pictures. Some of them happen to be pretty hilarious.

The fourth-seeded Indiana Hoosiers now have a NCAA tournament win in the Tom Crean era.
They should get their second such victory at 7:10 p.m. today in Portland. Should.
Even so, the Hoosiers face a daunting obstacle to a berth in the Sweet 16 in No. 12 seed Virginia Commonwealth, who could make IU pay for repeating one of its worst habits.

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Hoosiers know they have a daunting task ahead of them when they play No. 13 seed New Mexico State at 9:45 pm. today. But they also understand how special an opportunity it is to be in the NCAA Tournament, and they’re enjoying every second of it.
The team flew into Portland Monday night, and Tom Crean gave his players most of Tuesday to tour the city and hangout...
Not only is Indiana back in the NCAA Tournament, Indiana is back in the win column in the NCAA Tournament. Since 1994, it’s been a rare season when we’ve been able to say that.
Kudos to the Hoosiers tonight for beating a good but over-matched New Mexico State team exactly as they should have. Christian Watford provided an early lift and continued his strong, confident play....
