Momar Dieng and Seynabou Diagne, the parents of Louisville center Gorgui Dieng, will be in attendance tomorrow afternoon at the KFC Yum! Center to watch their son play basketball on American Soil for the first time. Thanks to Proctorville, Ohio, resident Lesley Thomas, Dieng’s parents were able to fly to the United States to spend time with their son on Christmas. Thomas and her husband Scott were Dieng’s host family when he came to the United States to attend Huntington Prep. The Thomas’ spent the past five months working on the logistics of bringing Dieng’s parents to the states. Because neither of his parents speaks English, family friend Assane Badji assisted in obtaining passports. “I can never repay you or thank you enough for making this happen,” Dieng wrong in a text message to Lesley Thomas. “He kept saying, ‘I can’t wait to see their faces.
