Tyrese Rice is seeing his stock rise after an impressive showing in the Portsmouth Pre-Draft Showcase. Rice had several notable games in the tournament including a 14 -point and 7-assist effort in game 5. He also excelled during his final game of the tournament scoring 14 points to go along with 9 assists and 6 boards.
There have been question marks regarding his point guard ability, but he has quieted his critics for now. NBA Draft Net currently has Rice pegged to go 48th overall to Miami, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him creep up into the early second round if he continues to display his point guard abilities.
