To say the UConn men’s basketball needed a win on Monday night at Villanova is a understatement. The Huskies were playing for their tournament lives. They fell behind by 18 early then stormed by to tie the game at halftime. In the second half saw both teams were going back and forth. With the Huskies leading by two late Villanova tied the game then it was time for Shabazz Napier to take over. Napier was not even supposed to play on Monday night but he took the inbounds pass was 5 seconds left. He dribbled up the court and rose up and nailed a 35 footer as time expired to beat the Wildcats 73-70. Wow what a clutch shot and this was big for Napier in another way. After the teams blowout loss to Marquette on home Napier called out his teammates saying they quit. So the sophomore came out and backed his words up.
