At what point do you think Roy Williams realized that playing on the road at College of Charleston was a bad idea? I'm betting it dawned on him a few weeks ago when he doubtlessly realized these Tar Heels aren't like the '06 version that similarly had to defend a national title with a slew of personnel changes. If he didn't, he knows it now. College of Charleston stunned No. 9 North Carolina Monday night with a thrilling 82-79 overtime victory at the Carolina First Arena. Andrew Goudelock's Scotty Thurman-esque rainbow three with two seconds remaining in regulation sent the game into overtime, where the Cougars were able to withstand a furious Carolina rally in the final minute. Give Williams credit for even agreeing to the game. Granted, Carolina gets two home games in exchange for this one visit to Charleston.
