It took three times for the University of Oklahoma to pull Lon Kruger away from UNLV, but the third time was the charm. Kruger pushed away two other offers early in the week by Oklahoma, but the third was just too good to pass up. A seven-year contract worth somewhere around 2.2 million a year, almost doubled what he made at UNLV. Any type of loyalty to a sports team is non existent because of the value of the dollar, but UNLV has a chance to show loyalty to a former player and now coach.
